The sandstone rose window, still existing today on the facade, testifies to the building's period of origin, which dates back to the second half of the 14th century and is located near Porta Galiziano.

The construction and officiating of this church are linked to the activity of the confraternity of “Corpus Christi”. The two side altars, then, house a work by Luigi Fontana, the Sacred Heart, and an 18th-century depiction of Saint Michael the Archangel slaying the demon.
