The Grappolo d’Oro is a historic and popular celebration dedicated to grapes, wine, and the rural and folkloric traditions of the region.

Held in September during the grape harvest, the festival brings the village's historic center to life for several days with a packed program of events. Originally created to promote local grapes and food culture, the festival is rich in folk traditions, performances, and atmospheres that evoke the charm of the past.

The town’s historic districts—the rioni (such as Porta Marina, Porta Galiziano, Colle Bianco, and San Girio)—take center stage in exciting challenges. These include the Grape Treading Competition, where districts face off in traditional grape crushing, and the Barrel Race, where teams push large barrels through the village streets in a spectacular race to win the Palio dei Rioni.

The festivities also feature district dinners, open-air markets, exhibitions, live music, street performers, and the traditional parade of allegorical floats.

A true cornerstone of the Potenza Picena community, the event is part of the Grand Tour delle Marche circuit, celebrating local identity and regional excellence. The festival also offers a special summer preview called “Summer Grape,” featuring tastings and fresh, engaging entertainment that changes every year.
