The Wildlife Oasis of the Potenza Picena Lakes

The Laghetti Park, located in the northern area of Porto Potenza, represents a precious oasis of nature protection born in an area originally intended for gravel excavation. This human intervention gave rise, unexpectedly, to an ideal habitat for rich birdlife. Thanks to its bodies of water, which extend over more than 32 hectares, the park has become a fundamental stopover and wintering point for numerous species of water birds, both resident and migratory.

Recognized as a protected floristic area by the Marche Region since 1997, the oasis offers visitors an immersive experience in nature. A cycling and pedestrian path winds along the shores of the lakes, allowing visitors to walk and cycle among plants and flowers typical of the local flora.
