The Pincio Belvedere in Potenza Picena

A balcony overlooking the wonders of the Marche

Sea and landscapes

The Belvedere Donatori di Sangue, affectionately renamed by the people of Potenza Picena "il Pincio," is one of the most spectacular panoramic viewpoints in Potenza Picena and the entire region. Its name is a tribute to the famous belvedere in Rome and, like that one, offers a breathtaking view. From this natural terrace, the gaze can freely span from the peaks of the Sibillini Mountains to the infinite shades of blue of the Adriatic Sea, embracing a hilly landscape of rare beauty.

This place is not only an observation point, but also a garden rich in history. Also known as the Linden Garden, it owes its charm to the approximately fifty linden trees planted back in 1901, which still today create a charming and shaded avenue. At the center of the park stands majestically an imposing Cedar of Lebanon, one of the oldest specimens in the Marche, a silent witness to generations of meetings and strolls.

Beyond nature, from the Pincio one can admire numerous symbolic places of the territory: the Basilica of Loreto, Leopardi's Recanati, Castelfidardo, the birthplace of the accordion, and Cingoli, the "balcony of the Marche." A few steps from the belvedere, moreover, one finds the beating heart of city life: the Town Hall, the civic tower, the Bruno Mugellini Theatre, and the curious De Mayo Pyramid, a scale copy of the one in Buenos Aires, donated by the Potenza Picena community that emigrated to Argentina.
